I'm Mike Hall, aka "Humble Mike". I'm a blues harmonica player, singer and guitarist based in Bangkok, Thailand. After spending much of my life in Africa, I moved to Beijing, China in 1997 and played extensively around Beijing and other cities in China, including Shanghai, Guangzhou & Harbin. After over a decade in China, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand where I work as a freelance musician.

I'm primarily a blues & soul musician, but I've played everything from reggae to pop & folk to jazz and rock and as well as playing with various bands, I also do a lot of solo performances and recording work.

I've played music for most of my life and it's been an incredibly rewarding experience. I've been fortunate enough to have played all over the world, including gigs in the Africa, Europe, Asia and America and have met some great people and talented musicians.

In 2014, I spent a good part of the year traveling across North America (including trips to Mexico and Canada) playing from the West coast to the East. A special highlight was the getting the chance perform in New Orleans, Louisiana and also Clarksdale, Mississippi - two places very close to my musical heart.

I look forward to seeing you at one of my gigs soon!

Right now I'm playing with SUPABAD which is great fun as this nine piece band has a massive horn section and covers all my favourite Soul artists like Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, James Brown, Sam & Dave, etc.

I've also teamed up with my old musical compatriot, Danny California, (with whom I last played twelve years ago), and joined the "Danny California's Blues All-Stars".

My friend, Paul and I played together in the Flatdogs. Coincidentally, Paul moved to Beijing in 2000 and we formed the Beijing Blues Collective (B.B.C.) . Small world... Also, my good mate, Dave Findlay Brown, played Bass for both the Surfers and the Flatdogs before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland where he was the frontman for local R 'n B band, The Belgranos for many years. Sadly, David passed away in July 2012 and is greatly missed by us all...
